Wait...there's more!

A few days ago our garden looked like this!

Trenches were dug to lay drainage to the water tanks. The old spouting/guttering still has to be removed from the house for the new spouting that's being put up next week.

Joe needs to paint the boards before that can happen, we're waiting for dry weather. I've been listening to the rain lately and feeling gutted it's not filling the tanks!!

The garden now looks like this..

A little bit of rain in the trench!!!

Michael has laid concrete pads for the heat pump/air con units

He's put shelving in my 'only' cupboard

The wallpaper in the bedroomlooks so good,
here's a close up

The tiler was back today grouting the tiles.
Still to do in there
Silicone
Put up shower screen

We took a drive to Cambridge this afternoon to pick up this chair that's going in Threadquarters. I've been after one for ages.

And lastly for today, the lemon tree.
They should be ready for when we move in,
when I can enjoy a very large gin and tonic

Talking of G&Ts, I've just been handed one.

Ta ta for now

Wallpaper and tiles

The paper hanger was here today, the only room to be wallpapered is our bedroom.

And we have a wardrobe!
No shelving yet though

The tiler has been here this week, popping in at the beginning waterproofing the walls and floor, 3 coats of that.
Tiles are done, he'll be back tomorrow to do the grouting

It's all coming together beautifully

More soon

So much going on.....

I had intended to do more progress posts. There's so much going on now as we race toward the finish line, stuff everywhere, protective floor coverings hidig the flooring that I've decided to leave it for now.

But I will share a few photos...

Flooring is all but done, they've done a good job but we wouldn't use them again or recommend them due to poor communication and over running their allotted days, they still haven't done silicone around the kitchen cabinets.

Still an excellent job laying etc, just their way of operating sucks.

Entrance door has been rehung

Cabinets on TV wall

Hardie groove under island bench matches back wall

WC installed

The craft room, aka "Threadquarters" is looking great 👍

And that will have to do for today, there's more to show but I've had a bloody nightmare trying to load stuff today

See ya soon
