Digger operator is done.....for now 😉

The water tanks have been moved and are in a much better position now, here's a video taken today

The painters are still hard at it so I'll do a video once they've gone, they'll be back in a couple of weeks to do any touching up that needs doing (gosh that sounds rather pervy doesn't it!!)

Next week it's going to be full on, a little bit exciting, a little bit nerve wracking and maybe some sleepless nights now that we're getting so close to the end.

Tasks expected to be happen next week:-

Tiler - bathroom, shower tiles and flooring tiles

Flooring - prepping the dining/kitchen/hall/entrance & WC ready for kitchen install,

ie: 5.5mm ply laid as a base for vinyl plank tiles.

Concrete areas that are in bad shape sanded in entrance area and craft room

Kitchen install, happening Wednesday

Carpet laid in lounge area and bedrooms.

Sparky - fit off

And I think that's enough for today.

Grab a cuppa, it's a long post!

I was going to wait until the painters had finished before I took another video but changed my mind

Joe decided he didn't want the water tanks where they were, which is great because I never liked them there but wasn't about to say anything, I didn't want my head bitten off.

The view is back!

The eyesores water tanks, not in their final position but moved to the other side of the drive

The digger is back!! the water tanks will go here....somewhere

Some of the dead gorse was cleared and we now see the neighbours pond

Unfortunately the oak tree had to go

Meanwhile, my craft room is looking good

Other news the kitchen is done!! And ready for install next Wednesday.
I went for a sneak preview today. There's a cupboard for under the TV too but that was packed up so no pictures, we'll have to wait until next week to see that

I won't comment on what's what, you'll see it in all it's glory next week
but I will tell you that it's a thing of beauty

There's more to share as the painters are doing a fantastic job and it is looking so very different in the house now, I'm going back up later but will most likely not do another post until tomorrow

Until next time

Moving Swiftly along, painters make a start

The painters were in on Tuesday,  the bad weather put them behind  schedule but it's only one day!

Tuesday they filled the holes.

Today it looks like this, they've sanded the filled holes and sprayed the sealer coat

Joe is painting the outside,  but that might change 🤣 😉

Walk through video

 More updates soon

Thank you to those of you who leave comments here, please can you remember to add your name underneath so I know who you are. If you're signed in to Google it's not an issue

Ready for the painters tomorrow

Well, just about, Michael has a few things to do, then it will be. The painters have a bit of prepping to do before they can paint so it will work out fine.

Joe has been primer/undercoating the cladding. He'll start putting on the first coat of colour this week. Then the battens need priming and first coat before they get put on

As you can see the cladding needs to be done around the front door. The garage still needs doing too but the priority was to work on the main house to keep the flow of tradies going.
