In January of 2024 I started a Grandmothers garden hexagon quilt, lots of flowers made up of hexies. I wasn't able to finish it by the end of the year as hoped, but as there is no rush that doesn't matter. I have two rows still to do.
Today I pulled out my boxes of fabrics and hopefully found enough to make up the remaining flowers, the neutrals are already done
Over on Facebook I've set myself a couple of challenges for the year.
The first, is to post one good thing every day, in a increasingly depressing and violent world this challenge is a positive I think. There is still joy and beauty in the world.
Day 1 Expresso Martinis
Day 2
After nearly 2 months I was able to drive the car again. I'd had cellulitis in my leg in November which took a while to heal, so I'm very happy to be mobile again.
Day 3 - today.
Cutting fabrics for the Grandmothers Garden quilt, see above.
The other challenge is inspired by this book which I have on order
The idea is to take a mindful moment in your day to stitch a memory from the day.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
So far the two challenges are the same, I'm sure that as I settle into the challenges that I'll be a little more imaginative 😆
These two make me laugh every day

Wow, GFG is a big undertaking although it looks like you're on the home stretch, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm enjoying it but I'm not sure I'll do another, but never say never
