After the lull, things are happening again at the top house

 On Saturday a digger turned up and started clearing the drains

then it moved up to the top house to do some work there

A lot of gorse has been cleared

To level the right hand side of the drive, earth was taken from the left hand side of the drive. First the topsoil was taken off, then clay dug out and used on the other side

Then the topsoil was put back. The digger driver has done an impressive job 👏 

Where the old tank ended up. It's new home will be somewhere on the hill, below the clay line. I'm surprised it survived being dragged down the hill

Finally, for today,  because this post has taken me ages cos Blogger is being a twat, nowhere near as good as it used to be, anyhoo, the new craft space is now pre wired

There's more to show, the digger, before doing all that, has been clearing drains. No photos yet though

Decisions have been made.

 Since the last post we've been making final decisions regarding the kitchen,  windows,  bathroom tiles and outdoor lighting.

Once we were happy, we accepted the quotes and once deposits are paid,  work can begin.

It will  be a few weeks before the kitchen and windows are ready for installation,  in the meantime there's plenty to do to get things to a stage where that can happen.

Joe pulled down ceilings, wall boards and took out old insulation in my craft space.

The kitchen appliances are different to what's shown in the pictures

They are also making a cabinet for underneath the TV. Consisting of 2 cupboards with a shelf and two drawers at both ends.

I think that's probably enough to be going on with today.  I'll do a craft and other stuff post tomorrow.

A this and that kinda post

 Here it is, started January 2024, the hexie quilt flimsy is done

13 rows of flowers, every other row has 12 flowers, the alternate rows have 11 flowers plus 2 half flowers, the mathematicians among might want to add that lot up 😉 

In between are neutrals, 3 different light fabrics.

All hand sewn!

So that's it for now, it needs batting and backing then I'll hand quilt around the flowers. 

Lot's to do still, a job for when I'm in my new craft space.

Henry has been enjoying the pool, February has had very hot days, in the high 20s, even the low 30s

The plumbers are done pre plumbing, they'll be back later in the process

And it's February already

 Our electrician has done what he can for now, he'll be back at a later date. He's doing an excellent job, I have to say that seeing all those wires everywhere, it amazes me hiw he knows what everything is for.

The plumbers were in today doing their thing. I think they're back again tomorrow, they too will be back at a later date.

We're getting quotes coming in, need a Lotto win 😮
